Overview

Submito can send a Telegram message to you every time a new submission is received. Once connected, notifications arrive in real time — no need to check your inbox.

How to connect

  1. Go to your dashboard settings and open the Notifications tab.
  2. Click Connect Telegram — you will be redirected to the Submito bot on Telegram (@SubmitoNotifBot).
  3. Press Start in Telegram to complete the connection.
  4. Come back to the settings page — your account will be marked as connected automatically.
The connection is polled in the background for up to 3 minutes. If it doesn’t connect, refresh the page and try again.

Managing your connection

Once connected you have three controls:

Notification format

Each Telegram message includes:
  • The form slug the submission came from
  • All submitted fields and their values
  • The submission ID for reference

Troubleshooting

Make sure you pressed Start in the Telegram chat with @SubmitoNotifBot. The page polls for confirmation for 3 minutes — if it times out, click Connect again.
  1. Check that Telegram notifications are enabled in your settings (toggle is on)
  2. Send a test message from the settings page to confirm the connection is live
  3. Make sure your submission returned { "ok": true } with status 201 — no notification is sent if the submission failed
  4. Check your usage dashboard — you may have hit your monthly quota
Each Submito account supports one Telegram connection at a time.
