# Rate Limits & Quotas

> Understand Submito's submission limits and how they work.

## Monthly quotas

Each plan includes a monthly submission quota:

| Plan | Monthly submissions | Price |
| - | - | - |
| Free | 100 | \$0 |
| Basic | 5,000 | \$9.99/month |
| Pro | 10,000 | \$19.99/month |

## How quotas work

* Quotas reset **monthly** — either on the 1st of the month (Free) or on your billing renewal date (Basic/Pro)
* When you exceed your quota, submissions return a `429` status and are **not delivered**
* You can track your current usage in the [dashboard](https://submito.dev/dashboard/usage)

## Rate limiting

In addition to monthly quotas, the submission endpoint enforces **per-IP rate limiting** to protect against abuse. Legitimate usage will never hit this limit.

## What happens when you exceed your quota?

The request is rejected and no email is sent. To resume receiving submissions:
