# Quick Start

> Send your first form submission in under 2 minutes.

## 1. Create a workspace

Log in to your [dashboard](https://submito.dev/dashboard) and create a workspace. A workspace holds your forms and API key.

## 2. Create a form

Inside your workspace, create a new form. Give it a name — you'll get a unique **endpoint URL** that looks like this:

```
https://submito.dev/api/v1/your-endpoint-slug/submit
```

Copy this URL — you'll use it in your code.

## 3. Generate an API key

Go to the **API Key** section of your workspace and generate a key. Copy it somewhere safe.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Keep your API key secret. Never commit it to a public repository.

## 4. Send your first submission

Use `curl` or any HTTP client to send a test `POST` request:

```bash theme={null}
curl -X POST https://submito.dev/api/v1/your-endpoint-slug/submit \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "x-api-key: your-api-key" \
  -d '{"name": "John Doe", "email": "john@example.com", "message": "Hello!"}'
```

You should receive an email in your inbox within seconds.

> [!TIP]
>
> You're all set! Check your inbox for the submission email.
