# Introduction

> What is Submito and how does it work?

## What is Submito?

Submito is a form backend service. Instead of building and maintaining your own server to handle form submissions, you get a **unique endpoint URL** for each form.

Send a JSON request to that URL from anywhere — a React app, a Vue component, a Next.js API route, or any HTTP client — and every submission gets delivered straight to your inbox via email. No servers to manage. No infrastructure to maintain.

## How it works

**1. Create a form**

Go to your dashboard, create a workspace and a form. You'll get a unique endpoint URL.

**2. Add your API key**

Generate an API key from your workspace. Include it in every request as the `x-api-key` header.

**3. Send a JSON request**

From your app, send a `POST` request with your form data as JSON to your endpoint URL.

**4. Receive submissions by email**

Every submission is delivered straight to your inbox via email — instantly.
